5-Day Express Tour from Tangier to Marrakech
About This Experience
Ideal for travelers with limited time who wish to discover the must-see places of northern and central Morocco. This 5-day express tour is an intense journey full of contrasts.
We will start in cosmopolitan Tangier, explore the photogenic "Blue City" of Chefchaouen, and immerse ourselves in the history of Fes. We will cross the Middle Atlas to reach the dunes of Merzouga for a magical night in the desert, ending the adventure by crossing the High Atlas to vibrant Marrakech.

Day by Day Itinerary
Tangier – Rif Mountains – Chefchaouen
Pick up at Tangier port or airport. Travel through the green Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen. Free time to get lost in its blue alleys, take photos, and enjoy the tranquility of the medina. Overnight in Riad in Chefchaouen.
Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Departure to the Roman ruins of Volubilis for a historical visit. Brief stop in Meknes to see the Bab Mansour gate. Continue to Fes, the cultural and spiritual capital of Morocco. Overnight in Riad in Fes.
Fes – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
A long but spectacular day. We will cross the Middle Atlas passing through Ifrane ("Little Switzerland") and the cedar forest. We will cross the Ziz Valley with its palm groves until we reach Merzouga. Camel ride at sunset and overnight in a camp under the stars.
Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Sunrise in the dunes. Departure to Rissani and Tinghir to visit the impressive Todra Gorges. Continue to the Dades Valley, admiring the rock formations known as "monkey fingers". Dinner and overnight in hotel in Dades.
Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Visit the cinema city, Ouarzazate, and the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO Heritage). Crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass with panoramic stops. Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon. End of the trip.

Is the trip very tiring?
It is an intense ("Express") tour with quite a few hours of driving, especially on Day 3 towards Merzouga. It is designed to see the most in a short time.
Where does the tour end?
The tour ends in Marrakech. If you need to return to Tangier, we can organize an extra transfer or you can take the train/plane from Marrakech.
What type of vehicle is used?
We use modern 4x4 vehicles or luxury Minivans with air conditioning, depending on the size of your group.
- Route: This is a linear trip (starts in North, ends in South). Plan your return flights from Marrakech.
- Luggage: Light or medium luggage is recommended to facilitate transfers and space in the vehicle.
