About This Experience
Discover the rocky Agafay desert, a spectacular moon-like landscape just 45 minutes from Marrakech. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city to experience an unforgettable evening under the Atlas stars.
Enjoy a camel ride at sunset, dressed in traditional nomadic attire (gandora and turban). Relax in a Berber tent enjoying mint tea and Moroccan sweets, while watching the changing colors of the desert and the snow-capped Atlas mountains in the background.

Detailed Itinerary
Marrakech Pick-up
Pick-up at your hotel or riad. Transfer in a private air-conditioned vehicle towards the Agafay desert, passing through small villages and olive groves.
Preparation & Camel Ride
Arrival at the desert. We will welcome you and prepare you with traditional nomadic clothing (blue gandora and turban) for photos. Start of the 1-hour camel ride as the sun begins to set.
Tea Break & Sunset
Enjoy a relaxing break in a Berber tent or outdoors. Fresh Moroccan mint tea and traditional sweets will be served. Free time to admire the sunset over the rocky hills and take spectacular photos.
Return to Marrakech
Meeting with your driver and return trip to Marrakech under the starry sky. Arrival at your accommodation.

Is it a sand desert?
No, Agafay is a stone desert (reg). It has rocky dunes and spectacular lunar landscapes, but it is not fine sand like the Sahara.
What clothes should I wear?
Comfortable clothing and sports shoes. In winter and at night it gets cool, so bring a jacket. Avoid short skirts to ride camels comfortably.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes, children love the camel ride and the open space. It is a short and safe excursion for families.
Can we add dinner?
Yes, we offer a dinner option with a show under the stars. Please indicate this in the booking message to adjust the budget.
