About This Experience
Cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n'Tichka pass to reach Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Desert" and the "Hollywood of Africa". This trip combines spectacular natural landscapes with cinematic history.
Visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah, a jewel of southern Moroccan adobe architecture. Explore the famous Atlas Studios, where legendary films like *Gladiator*, *The Mummy*, and scenes from *Game of Thrones* were filmed. A fascinating cultural and visual immersion.

Detailed Itinerary
Departure & Tizi n'Tichka Pass
Pick up at your hotel in Marrakech. Travel south crossing the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m). We will make stops to admire the impressive panoramic views and Berber villages.
Ouarzazate & Taourirt Kasbah
Arrival in Ouarzazate. We will visit the Taourirt Kasbah, former residence of the Glaoui Pacha. A maze of rooms, passageways, and adobe towers showcasing traditional southern architecture.
Atlas Studios & Cinema Museum
Time for lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, optional visit to the famous Atlas Studios, where you can walk among sets of movies like *Gladiator*, *Asterix & Obelix*, and *Game of Thrones*. You can also visit the Cinema Museum.
Return to Marrakech
We start the return journey to Marrakech, enjoying the changing colors of the Atlas Mountains at sunset. Arrival at your hotel around 19:30 - 20:00 PM.

Is it worth entering the studios?
If you like cinema, definitely yes. You will see large-scale sets of famous movies. If you are not a movie buff, you can choose to visit only the outside or spend more time at the Kasbah.
Is it a long trip?
It's about 4 hours there and 4 hours back through mountains. The landscape is spectacular, but if you get carsick, we recommend taking precautions.
- Weather: Ouarzazate is the door to the desert; in summer it can get very hot. Bring water and a hat.
- Road: The Tizi n'Tichka pass has many curves.
- Food: There are tourist and local restaurants in Ouarzazate. The driver will recommend based on your preference and budget.
