Just 60 km from Marrakech, the Ourika Valley is an oasis of freshness at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains. It is the perfect escape to flee the heat and bustle of the city, offering green landscapes, rushing rivers, and authentic adobe Berber villages hanging on the slopes.
During this excursion, you will visit a traditional Berber house to learn about their lifestyle, stop at argan oil cooperatives, and take a guided hike to the seven waterfalls of Setti Fatma. Lunch is served in restaurants with terraces by the river, where you can relax with the sound of water.
Pick up at your accommodation. 1-hour drive south crossing the Haouz plain with views of the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas.
Stop at a traditional house to have tea with a local family and optional visit to a women's argan oil cooperative.
Arrival at the village of Setti Fatma. Guided hike (easy/medium level) to see the seven waterfalls and enjoy panoramic views of the valley.
Free time to have a traditional tagine lunch at one of the restaurants with your feet almost in the water (not included, approx 10€).
Peaceful return to Marrakech, arriving at your hotel or Riad in the afternoon.
It is easy to moderate level. Sports or hiking shoes are recommended as the terrain can be slippery.
The temperature in the valley is usually a few degrees lower than in Marrakech. In summer it is very pleasant, in winter bring warm clothes.
